Born on July 13, 1976 in Boryspil, Kyiv region.
He graduated from the Faculty of History of the Precarpathian National University named after V. Stefanyk in 1998 with a specialty “History” with the qualification of “historian, teacher”. After graduating from high school, he worked as a teacher of history and geography at secondary school № 13, while at the same time studying in 1999 at the postgraduate school of Carpathian National University. Since 2001 he started working at a high school as an assistant at the Department of Philosophy of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Since 2004 he has also worked as an assistant at the Department of Ukrainian Studies at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University (part-time).
On May 19, 2005 he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv on “The Problem of the Subject of Historical Process in Ukrainian Philosophy of the End of the Nineteenth – First Quarter of the Twentieth Centuries”. Official opponents: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor and Head of the Department of History of Philosophy, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Andriy Pashuk and Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Economics Skog National Medical University named Danylo Galician Marynyuk Gnatovych Victor, a leading institution: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). The decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine on the award of Petkovsky RO Candidate Degree in Philosophy in specialty 09.00.05 – History of Philosophy approved December 15, 2005.
In 2011 he was conferred the academic title of associate professor (decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of April 14, 2011).
Since November 14, 2006 he is currently an associate professor at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology of the Carpathian National University. V. Stefanyk, as well as associate professor at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Philosophy, Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University (in combination).
